For 3 – 5 year olds
The Montessori Preschool Program is a mixed age setting for children 3 to 5 years of age. Children attend for 2 years, as 3 year olds and 4 year olds, in the same group. An optional 3rd year is available for children who need an additional year before commencing school.

- 8:30am – 9:00am
- 12:45pm – 5pm
- Friday full day 8:30am-5pm
4 year olds
- Monday – Thursday 9.00 am – 12:45pm
- Extended Day Monday and Thursday 12:45pm-2:45pm
- Optional care program
- 8:30am – 9:00am
- 12:45pm – 5pm
- Friday full day 8:30am-5pm

The objectives of the Preschool Program:
- Foster a love of learning
- Facilitate social engagement with peers and adults
- Further develop and consolidate the child’s independence
- Practice life skills, critical thinking and problem solving;
- Help develop concentration and self-regulation through engagement in purposeful work
- Introduce the child to mathematical concepts in a concrete form
- Help develop spoken and written language skills
- Increase the child’s awareness of the natural and social world
- Provide the opportunity for creativity and self-expression
- Further develop physical co-ordination and manual dexterity
